Volunteers are being asked to give up some time on Saturday (November 12) to take part in a clear up of the grounds at St Peter's Church in Blaenavon.
The activity starts at 9.30am and refreshments will be provided. Thousands of people have been buried at the cemetery, which is owned by the Church, since it was built in the 1800s, including Blaenavon's ironmasters and many soldiers who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars. The Blaenavon Town Team launched a project earlier in the year to find a long term solution to maintain the cemetery and turn it into a clean and green space for use by the local community.
