Free Autumn Lectures at Big Pit National Coal Museum

This October and November sees the return of the popular Autumn Lectures Series at Big Pit.  The first will be on Saturday 22 October at 1.30pm, when Audrey Griffiths will be giving an insight into the life of her great aunt and an extraordinary woman: Elizabeth Andrews.  Discover the impact Elizabeth had on society as a whole, including her battle to secure pithead baths for miners and her role within the Independent Labour Party.

The second lecture, and a date for the diary, is on Saturday 12 November by Les James entitled 'The Story of Frost, Williams and Jones - Three Welsh Transported Political Convicts'.
