The sun was shining down on us yesterday as we held our first Father’s Day Food FEASTival at Big Pit. The event was a collaboration between National Museum’s Wales and CreaTe, Torfaen’s Rural Development Programme.
Hundreds of visitors enjoyed browsing and tasting the fantastic welsh produce on offer all in the unique industrial setting of Big Pit in the Blaenavon World Heritage Site.
Our very own Taste of Torfaen producers were represented alongside producers from all over South Wales, there were street food stalls with scrumptious treats, music provided by Blaenavon’s own Celtic Café Band and tasty food demos. It is hoped that following the success of the Father’s Day FEASTival it will become an annual event.
