As part of Wales Sustainability Week, the Forgotten Landscapes team will be leading a walk to the Dragon’s Teeth micro hydro system in Blaenavon on 24th May at 7.00pm.
Using water from the Afon Lwyd this ground breaking new system is now generating ‘renewable’ electricity which is already reducing the electricity bills at the World Heritage Centre and providing a source of income for heritage projects. The 3/4 mile round trip will start and finish at the World Heritage Centre. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing, the site can be muddy following rain.
