'Busy Bees' Celebrates 20 Years

Busy Bees Nursery & Kids Club, Blaenavon celebrates its 20th anniversary with their first ever Summer Open Day this Saturday 24th July. Packed with free events for all the family, the Open Day will give the staff and children the opportunity to showcase their nursery to other families in the area. Activities include a Greenmeadow Farm petting zoo, Leo The Lion, children’s play activities, displays from local groups such as Blaenavon Scout Group, woodworking, face painting and much more. There will also be a big raffle with prizes that have been donated by over twenty of the top businesses and attractions in the South Wales area, all helping Busy Bees to celebrate this momentous anniversary.

Sue Driscoll, Nursery Manager at Busy Bees, adds, “I am so proud that Busy Bees is what it is today. What started 20 years ago as a small play group has now turned into the only Nursery & Kids Club in Blaenavon and to have all these wonderful activities and help from local businesses will allow us to promote what we do to a whole new generation of families who are in need of good value, local child care at a time when it is needed most. An Open Day such as this not only allows the children a chance to enjoy themselves in a safe environment, but it gives parents the chance to have a good look at the Nursery in action and to understand what Busy Bees is all about.”

The Open Day starts at 11am and will finish with a special balloon race at 3pm. Everyone is welcome.
