The challenge of this year’s Alexander Cordell Literature Competition is to write a full story in just fifty words - a ‘Mini Saga’!
There are three categories:
All entrants are to write on the theme of ‘Community’ or ‘Unbelievable’- setting the story in south Wales over the last 200 years.
Entries are welcomed in English or Welsh and can be submitted electronically.

The competition is dedicated to the author Alexander Cordell (1914-97), whose most famous book, Rape of the Fair Country (1957), was set in industrial Blaenavon.
