The Iron Mountain Trail is an 18km (12 mile) circular walk taking you around the Blorenge Mountain. The walk, incorporating former tram roads and the canal, encompasses the wealth of historical and natural features, which give the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape its unique identity. 

The walk can be treated as one single route or it can be split into two. Separate walks leaflets for the Iron Mountain Trail Part One and the Iron Mountain Trail Part Two can be obtained from the Blaenavon World Heritage Centre and are available for download on the website. Both parts of the walk begin at the Keeper’s Pond Car Park [SO 254 197].

Part One – Moderate to energetic 11.5km (7mile) circular walk (approx: 4.5hrs)

Part Two – Moderate to energetic 8km (5mile) circular walk (approx 3.5hrs)
