Blaenavon Walking Festival

The 2016 Blaenavon Walking Festival will take place between 18th to 21st May.  Last year was a great success thanks for the hard work of the Blaenavon World Heritage Environment Group Volunteers. Walks this year include a tour of some of the Churches and Pubs around Blaenavon Town, both past and present, walking across moorland looking over the Usk Valley, a circular walk exploring the lonely and myserious landscape above Cwmcelyn and Blaina, and a walk from the Heritage Centre to the Forgeside community built for workers at the "new forge" which replaced Garnddyrys.. The programme features everything from challenging full walks to gentle strolls – so something for everybody!
