Learning from the Past - Planning for the Future

A conference was held in September 2014 to review the Forgotten Landscape Scheme with the aim that other programmes and projects can benefit from the experiences of the FLP planning, development and implementation. The conference included talks, discussions and site visits and covered:

  • Volunteering
  • Access and Interpretation
  • Outreach – community engagement
  • Land management and building a relationship with the areas commoners
  • Wildlife conservation and habitat creation
  • How FLP has helped the development of the World Heritage Site – a view from the Capital
  • Beyond Forgotten Landscapes – legacy planning
