On Sunday16th June, 11am-4pm, Big Pit will be holding a very special Father’s Day event.

In partnership with Taste of Torfaen and Cotyledon Markets more than 40 food, drink and craft stalls will be taking part in the Father’s Day FEASTival.

A variety of local producers and street food traders will be tempting your taste buds with a mouth-watering selection of local food and drink.

There will be food demonstrations, live music and children’s activities including soft play, crafts and face painting. You can also have a go at the biscuit decorating competition or paint a mug for that special person.*

Visitors will able to take the weight off their feet after browsing the stalls for a well-deserved cuppa, in the authentic Miner’s Canteen which will be serving a selection of hot food and snacks including homemade Bara Brith, Welsh Cakes and Faggots and Peas and where Dads can get a free cuppa and welsh cake.

Visitors are also being encouraged to visit the nearby Rhymney Brewery and the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway.
