Blaenavon Town Council is exploring the possibility of submitting a bid for Blaenavon to become UK Town of Culture 2028.
The UK Town of Culture programme is a national competition run by the UK Government. It will award one town the opportunity to deliver a cultural programme in 2028, supported by £3 million of funding, with the aim of boosting local pride, participation, visitor numbers and long-term regeneration through culture.
