Blaenavon World Heritage Centre
The Blaenavon World Heritage Visitor Centre, situated in a former school built by the Ironmasters in the early 19th Century, was opened to the public in March 2008. Visitors to the Centre can enjoy films, interactive screens and exhibitions which explain the story of the people of Blaenavon, who transformed a mountain landscape through iron-making and coal mining during the Industrial Revolution.
Housed in two Grade II* Listed buildings, joined by a contemporary glass and steel link building, the Centre has excellent meeting and conference facilities, which would also be suitable for training sessions. The Centre has been finished to a very high standard, recently receiving an award from the Royal Institute of British Architects.
With spectacular views over the Coity Mountain and the Blaenavon World Heritage Site, this historic venue, with a modern twist, offers an alternative choice to traditional business locations.
