3. Workman's Institute

You are looking at the Workman’s Institute. The Workman’s Institute was built in 1895 and paid for by the workers of the Ironworks as a hub for social activity, for which it is still used today, housing a theatre and cinema. It is also the home of the Blaenavon Community Museum which tells the proud story of Blaenavon and its people. Follow the map and image to the Co-Operative Shop.
