1. Keepers Pond

Start at Keeper’s Pond Car Park. From the interpretation panel near the entrance, follow the stone chipping path that goes around the perimeter of the pond. Built in the early 19th century to provide water for Garnddyrys Forge it acquired the name Keeper’s Pond because the gamekeeper of the grouse moors lived in a cottage nearby.

When you reach the end of the pond cross the wooden footbridge and bear right uphill.
