2. Garn Road Powder Store

Continue on through a rough parking area and along the track to the left until you reach a tall electricity supply post. Turn right here and follow a rough path across a ditch. The derelict stone built structure on your right is the remains of an explosives store dating from around 1850. Gunpowder used for blasting in the Blaenavon Company’s mines was stored here.

Follow the path until you come to a stile. Go over the stile, bear left and up a set of steps.
