1. Pwll-du Tunnel
The tunnel started as a ‘level’ mine shaft, but by 1815 Thomas Hill had extended it right through the mountain to provide a more convenient route to the ironworks for trams laden with limestone coming from the quarries at Pwll-du. Retrace your steps back to the main route.
