Walk around Blaenavon town

A walk around Blaenavon Town gives visitors an insight into the community behind the iron and coal industries for which the area is renowned. You can explore the rows of cottages, imposing chapels as well as the majestic Workman’s Hall, all of which show how strong the population was in its heyday.

As you walk around the town you can also call into some of the great specialist shops and café’s that have now taken up residency on Broad Street.

Blaenavon Town Walk

This circular walk takes you around the historic town centre of Blaenavon. You will see many important and impressive nineteenth century buildings and, through old photographs, you can see how the town and its local environment have evolved over time.

Start at World Heritage Center.
