Alternative Learning Programme

An exciting partnership between Blaenavon Heritage Voluntary Controlled School (BHVCS) and Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre has been delivered providing two years of school activities for Year 5 pupils. 168 pupils took part in the Learning Programme. The programme utilised art and creative studies to explore Blaenavon’s history and heritage. This programme supported the development of basic skills (literacy and numeracy) whilst exploring entrepreneurship and developing a keen understanding and awareness of the area’s history.
