3. Dragons Teeth

Over to your left is the Dragons Teeth Micro Hydro System. Be careful around this area as it can be slippery. A micro-hydro system is a non-polluting, renewable source of energy. It removes a proportion of the water from the flowing river through a screen, diverts it through a buried pipe into a small turbine which produces electricity, before returning it to the river. In good conditions it has the capacity to generate up to 26 kW of power, helping to power local buildings.
